Bangladesh Tourism: Sylhet

Sylhet, A north-eastern district of Bangladesh which one is popular for its beautiful tourist spots. It surrounded with Tea Gardens, Rain forests, sub-tropical hills and River valleys. The tea gardens are the focus of this district. Sylhet is also famous for the Mazar of Shah Jalal Rahmatullah. More visitors come to Sylhet to see the Mazar in every year.

The transportation system to Sylhet is very well. You can go there by Air, Train or Bus.
Popular tourist spots are:

Jaflong: One of the best natural tourist spot of Sylhet Division. It stand between the border of Bangladesh and India(Meghalaya). It’s distance from Sylhet is about 60 km. The main attraction of Jaflong is the Mary River. The river looks very beautiful for its transparent water. The river is the source of drinking water of local tribe. The orange garden is also viewable sight in Jaflong.

Madhabkundo: It is one of the largest waterfalls in Bangladesh. Its height is about 200 ft (61m). Journey to the Madhabkundo is also very exciting. Visitors can enjoy green beauty of tea garden, zigzag road through hills, Rubber and Lemon plantation road to Madhabkundo.

Sreemangal: The area of Sreemangal is about 450.74 sq km. The main attraction of Sreemangal is Tea Garden. The tea gardens are seems like beautiful green canvas.
Lawachara National Park and Swamp Forest are also inside the list of famous tourist spot in Sylhet.
Because of these Green Tea garden, Beautiful River & lake, Colorful Tribal, Rare Birds & Animals, Sylhet is so attractive to the local and foreign tourists.
